Executive Team
Mark Turner, FACHE, CEO
Mark Turner joined Capital Medical Center in 2017 as Chief Executive Officer, bringing with him more than 35 years of experience in healthcare finance and administration. Prior to joining Capital Medical Center’s leadership team, Turner served as CEO at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in Banning, CA, and as Senior Vice President of Operations at Brim Healthcare.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Turner holds an undergraduate degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
Turner is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Certified Professional in Patient Safety, and a Certified Public Accountant. He is an active member of the West Olympia Rotary Club, and serves on several local boards.
Jennifer Weldon, MBA, FACHE, CFO
Jennifer joined the Capital Medical Center leadership team in early 2017. Prior to that, she was the Regional CFO for Saint Thomas Regional Hospitals in Middle Tennessee.
A native of Houston, Tx., Jennifer earned her undergraduate degree in accounting and finance at Southern Arkansas University and her Master’s in Business Administration, emphasis in finance, from Washington State University. She began her career as a staff accountant in the Louisiana market with Province Health and subsequently held roles as controller and assistant CFO before ultimately filling the role of CFO.
Jennifer is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety. She is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Thurston County and a 2018 recipient of South Puget Sound’s 40 under 40 recognition. Jennifer serves as a board member for Physicians of Southwest Washington and for the Washington Worker’s Compensation Trust. She is also a member of the Washington State Hospital Association CFO council and serves on several other committees.
Kathleen Boswell-Gregg, RN, BSN, CQO
Kathleen Boswell-Gregg joined Capital Medical Center in 2012 as Director of Case Management and was promoted to the position of Chief Quality Officer in 2013. Boswell-Gregg began her
career at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, TX as a staff nurse in the Intensive Care Unit before proceeding to a number of leadership roles including Clinical Manager of Neurosurgery & Orthopedics and Executive Director of Arden Courts of Arlington Alzheimer’s Assisted Living Facility. Boswell-Gregg has also served as a Legal Nurse Consultant for a medical malpractice firm in Dallas, Texas, and spent two years as an Organ Procurement Coordinator.
A Texas transplant, Boswell-Gregg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1989 from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Kathleen serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Behavioral Health Resources in Olympia, WA.
Kathleen and her husband, Randy, live in Shelton and own a small hobby farm. She enjoys gardening and raising farm animals, playing with her grandchildren and traveling.
Verno Davidson, MBA, CNO
Verno H. Davidson currently serves as Interim Chief Nursing Officer at Capital Medical Center, bringing with her more than 33 years of experience in healthcare. Davidson is a master’s prepared senior healthcare executive with extensive experience in the hospital acute care setting, including both profit and non-profit organizations.
A highly visible, business-savvy leader with a passion for generating results through people, innovative approaches, leadership development and teamwork, Davidson has recognized strengths in corporate strategy, strategic planning, and budgetary process and proven expertise in creating positive professional practice environment with an emphasis on patient care, safety, and customer service excellence.
Ms. Davidson joined Capital in August 2020. She previously served in interim positions at various health systems/hospitals within LifePoint Health. She also served as a Nurse Consultant in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and chief nursing officer at hospitals in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania.
Davidson received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Southwestern College, Americus, Georgia, in 1987, and a Master of Business Administration from the Brenau University, Gainesville, Georgia, in 1996. She received the American Nurses Association Certification in Nursing Administration and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Organization of Nurse Executives, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.
