Whether you’re trying to manage diabetes, safely lose weight or better understand your medical dietary needs, the registered dietitians at Capital Medical can help you reach your goals. We offer a variety of nutrition therapy services specially designed for your particular needs with individualized programs available for adults. Areas our registered dietitians and nutritionists can provide support include:
Good nutrition is a key component in recovering from surgery or illness. Capital Medical's registered dietitian provides nutrition care, advice and education to patients while they are in the hospital. The dietitian works with the patient’s medical team, instructing hospitalized patients on diet and monitoring the effectiveness of the nutrition care plan. Patients discharged from the hospital may receive follow-up nutrition counseling on an outpatient basis.
Sandra Pearce is an honors graduate of Seattle Pacific University who completed her clinical training in local practices around Thurston and Mason County. Sandra focuses on finding individualized and unique solutions, believing there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to improving diet and lifestyle.
Sandra oversees the nutrition counseling in the Bariatric Surgery program and is also taking general nutrition referrals from all offices in the Puget Sound region.
“Together we will work toward creating an individualized and sustainable plan that meets your goals and fits your life.”
