Oct. 13 through 19 is National Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week!
Today and each day we recognize and celebrate our food and nutrition team members for all their hard work and the outstanding care and hospitality they provide for our patients, their families, and our team members.
Each day, the nearly 30-strong team at Capital Medical Center plays an essential role in our patients’ healing and well being. The work they do also provides the nourishment to our hospital team members.
Our team’s dedication and work goes into creating around 180,000 meals each year!
Recognition of the week was first created by an organization that would go on to become part of the Association for Healthcare Foodservice in 1985.
Congress would officially recognize Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week in 1989 to formally celebrate the men and women who have been providing much-needed nourishment for patients and staff for generations.
